Job description
We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide outpatient-only coverage at a well-supported healthcare system in the Northeast region. This is a stable, ongoing locum opportunity with no call and no inpatient responsibilities. The provider will manage a mix of oncology and hematology cases in a collaborative outpatient setting, supported by nurse practitioners and nursing staff. The role offers a predictable schedule and long-term continuity while the facility recruits a permanent provider.
Job Responsibilities
Manage both malignant and benign hematologic conditions
Oversee chemotherapy treatment planning and administration
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage oncology patients
Collaborate with NP and nursing team in a team-based care model
Maintain accurate documentation within EMR system
Participate in follow-up care and treatment adjustments
Optional: Bone marrow procedures (most handled by IR)
Qualifications
Board Certified in Hematology and/or Oncology
Active state medical license required
Active DEA or ability to obtain
Current immunizations and TB testing within 1 year
Working Hours
