Locum Medical Oncology and Hematology Physician Needs in Michigan!

ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Medical Oncology and Hematology physician to provide outpatient clinic coverage. The position supports an established oncology practice while the facility recruits a permanent physician. The provider will manage outpatient hematology and oncology patients and participate in clinic call as needed.

Dates & Schedule

• Coverage Period: January 19, 2026 – July 31, 2026

• Reason for Coverage: Recruitment gap

• Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

• Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Coverage Type: Outpatient clinic and clinic call

• Patient Volume: Approximately 15–20 patients per day

Job Details & Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient hematology and medical oncology care in a clinic setting.

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage oncology and hematology patients.

• Participate in tumor board discussions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

• Manage clinic call responsibilities as needed.

• Work with an experienced care team including:

  • Oncology RNs

  • Medical Assistants

  • Social Worker

  • Dietitian

  • Nurse Navigator

• Practice in a previously two-physician clinic supported by a Nurse Practitioner.

• Utilize the Cerner EMR system for patient documentation.

Onsite Services

• Infusion center

• Onsite CBC laboratory testing

Required Skills & Qualifications

Clinical & Certification Requirements

• Board Certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology (or truly Board Eligible).

• BLS and ACLS certification required.

• Experience managing outpatient oncology and hematology patients.

• Participation in tumor board collaboration.

Licensing & Documentation

• Active Michigan medical license required (IMLC not accepted).

• NPDB self-query completed within 30 days of submission.
