Locums – Reidsville, North Carolina, Hematology/Oncology Opportunity

• Locum tenens opportunity

• Start date: June 15, 2026

• Contract length: 39 weeks

• Seeking a board certified Hematology and/or Oncology physician

• Practice setting: Ambulatory Hematology/Oncology clinic within an inpatient facility

• Focus primarily on benign hematology

Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Shift length: 10 hours

• Schedule pattern: 4 days per week

• No call required

Clinical Details

• Average patients per day: Minimum of 15 hematology patients

• Provide outpatient hematology/oncology care including:

  • Follow-up visits and new patient evaluations

  • Writing orders and prescriptions

  • Coordinating care with pharmacy and clinical staff

• Case mix includes bread-and-butter hematology/oncology

• Approximately 60–65% hematology, with minor monthly fluctuations

• Providers should be comfortable working in a general oncology environment

Clinical Support and Technology

• Support staff includes:

  • Nurses

  • Patient navigator

  • Administrative support

  • Pharmacy team

  • 1–2 physicians

  • APPs

  • Infusion specialist

• Providers will not be working entirely solo

• EMR: EPIC (provider must complete an EPIC assessment prior to start date)

Requirements

• Board Certification: Hematology and/or Oncology required

• Providers only need to be boarded in one specialty, though dual board certification is preferred

• If seeing oncology patients, board certification in Oncology is required

• Active North Carolina license required

• DEA required

• BLS certification required

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience required
