- Start Date: As soon as credentialed
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
- Open Dates:
- April: 4/13–4/17; 4/20–4/24; 4/27–4/30
- May: 5/1; 5/4–5/8; 5/11–5/15; 5/18–5/22; 5/25–5/29
- June: 6/1–6/5; 6/8–6/12; 6/15–6/19; 6/22–6/26; 6/29–6/30
- July: 7/1–7/3; 7/6–7/10; 7/13–7/17; 7/20–7/24; 7/27–7/31
- August: 8/3–8/7; 8/10–8/14; 8/17–8/21; 8/24–8/28; 8/31
Clinical Details
- Setting: Hospital, Outpatient Chemotherapy and Infusion Center
- Duties: Diagnosis, staging, precision medicine, symptom management, and treatment of Hematology/Oncology patients. MD oversight for Oncology/Hematology clinic and Infusion Services
- Infusion Center provides: Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Blood/Platelet transfusions, Hormone therapy, Antibiotic Therapy, Rheumatoid Arthritis injections, Therapeutic Phlebotomies
- EMR: iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (Infusion)
- Support Staff: 1 clinic RN, 2 MAs, 2 front office clerks, 1 quality analyst/billing, 10 infusion RNs
- Midlevel provider helps with patient flow, orders, etc.
- Admissions per day: 15-20
- Patients per day: 15-20
- Types of cases: Oncology/Hematology, all tumor types
- Provide outpatient chemotherapy and infusions and is a solo provider
- Hospital consults required with call
- MD can work directly with ER physician or hospitalist, for any admissions
Requirements
- Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology or Hematology
- License: CA License
- Fellowship: Required
- Other Certifications: DEA, ACLS (if requesting Moderate Sedation Privileges), PALS for Pediatric Patients
- Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days
