Medical Hematologist/Oncologist! Oncologist provides outpatient chemotherapy and infusions and is a solo provider. There is a midlevel provider who helps with patient flow, orders, etc. Hospital consults required with call. MD can work directly with ER physician or hospitalist, for any admissions.
Schedule/Availability Requirements:
- Schedule: M-F 8a-5p with weekend call from Friday 5pm to Monday 8am (remote call only).
- Weekend shifts start Friday @5pm through Monday ending at 8am.
- Weekday shifts are clinic Monday-Friday (8am-5pm) with Night Call Monday-Thursday (5pm-8am)

- Duties: All aspects of Diagnosis, Staging, Precision Medicine, symptom management, and Treatment of Hematology/ Oncology Patients. MD oversight for both the Oncology/Hematology clinic and Infusion Services. Infusion Center requires MD onsite for all treatments. Infusion Center provides Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Blood/Platelet transfusions, Hormone therapy, Antibiotic Therapy, Rheumatoid Arthritis injections, and Therapeutic Phlebotomies.
Required Procedures:
- EMR: iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (Infusion)
- Support Staff: 1- clinic RN, 2-MAs, 2-front office clerks, 1-quality analyst/billing, and 10 infusions RNs.
- Reason for Coverage: Shortage of providers
- Dealbreakers: Ineligible or not Board Certified in Oncology and Hematology. MD must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology, also if they are not currently working!!!
Credentialing Information:
- Timeframe: 30-60 days
