🏥 Position Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician (MD/DO) for a full-time locum opportunity in Minot, North Dakota. This role supports a well-established outpatient oncology program and offers a stable weekday schedule within a collaborative cancer care team.

The physician will provide comprehensive care for both oncology and hematology patients, working closely with experienced specialists and advanced practice providers.

✔️ Board Certified in both Hematology and Oncology
✔️ Active North Dakota Medical License required
✔️ DEA required
✔️ IMLC providers considered

🔎 Key Responsibilities

🧬 Evaluate and manage patients with hematologic disorders and malignancies
📋 Develop and oversee chemotherapy and oncology treatment plans
💉 Monitor and coordinate infusion therapy treatments
📊 Assess treatment outcomes and adjust patient care plans accordingly
🤝 Collaborate with oncology specialists and multidisciplinary care teams
💻 Document patient care using the facility’s EMR system

🏥 Practice Environment

🏥 Outpatient Oncology Clinic

👨‍⚕️ On-Site Clinical Team Includes:
• 1 Full-Time Medical Hematology/Oncology Physician
• 1 Full-Time Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner
• 2 Full-Time Radiation Oncologists

👥 Daily Patient Volume
• Clinic Patients: ~16 per day
• Infusion Patients: ~30 per day

💻 Current EMR: Cerner
🔄 Upcoming EMR Transition: Epic (Beacon) – October 2026

📆 Monday – Friday
⏰ 8-Hour Day Shifts

📞 Call: Not required
🌙 Optional Weekend Call: Available once per month if desired

🩺 Patient Population

👨‍⚕️ Adult patients receiving oncology and hematology treatment and care management.

⚖️ Case Mix:
• 50% Oncology
• 50% Hematology

💰 Compensation

💵 Daily Rate: $5,500 – $5,800 per 8-hour shift

✈️ Travel & Lodging

The facility provides travel coverage with the following guidelines:

✈️ Airfare: Up to $1,000 round trip (coach/economy only)
🏨 Housing: Hyatt House – approximately $70 per night
🚗 Rental Car: Hertz – $240–$280 per week or $40 per day

Additional approval required if costs exceed the above limits.
