Details & requirements for this opportunity:

- Schedule: 3-4 clinic days (M-F) 8:00-4:30 some weekends and night call (infrequent)
- Credentialing Timeframe: 130 days from offer accepted.
- License: An active Connecticut state license is required
- EMR: EPIC
- Must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible
- Other Details: We are seeking a locum hematology/oncology provider to start as soon as credentialed for a 6-month to 1-year assignment with the possibility to extend. The role includes both inpatient consults and outpatient clinic coverage, primarily for adult and geriatric patients, with a practice mix of approximately 80% hematology and 20% oncology. The provider will see an average of 10 patients per day in the hospital and 15 per day in the outpatient clinic. Call responsibilities include nights on a 1:10 rotation and 2–3 weekends per year. The practice includes 10 physicians and 8 advanced practice providers, and the hospital is a Level I Trauma center. The coverage is due to a leave of absence.

Job Responsibilities
* Manage care for adult and geriatric patients, focusing on hematology (80%) and oncology (20%)
* Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients, including developing and adjusting treatment plans
* Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers in a multidisciplinary team
* Document patient care accurately and coordinate with hospital and clinic staff
Qualifications
* Experience in both inpatient and outpatient hematology/oncology care
* Ability to manage adult and geriatric patient populations
* Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Working Hours
* Inpatient and outpatient coverage
* Average patient load: 10 per day inpatient, 15 per day outpatient
* Call schedule: nights 1:10 rotation, 2–3 weekends per year
