- Other Details: We are seeking an outpatient locum-to-perm hematology/oncology physician to start in March 2026 and provide coverage through March 2027 for a new service line. The provider will care for adult and geriatric patients, managing an average of 30 outpatient visits per day, with the practice split evenly between hematology and oncology. Responsibilities include administration of chemotherapy alongside nurse oncologists, management of VAD/CV catheters, performing bone marrow biopsies, participating in tumor board meetings, managing bone marrow transplants, ordering laboratory tests and imaging, utilizing the blood bank, and prescribing medications. The role focuses exclusively on outpatient care, with no inpatient rounding required.

Job Responsibilities
* Administer chemotherapy in collaboration with nurse oncologists
* Perform procedures including management of VAD/CV catheters and bone marrow biopsies
* Participate in tumor board meetings and multidisciplinary care planning
* Manage bone marrow transplants and coordinate follow-up care
* Order laboratory tests, imaging, and utilize the blood bank as needed
* Prescribe medications and adjust treatment plans based on patient response
Qualifications
* Experience in outpatient hematology/oncology care
* Proficiency in chemotherapy administration, VAD/CV catheter management, and bone marrow biopsies
* Ability to manage adult and geriatric patient populations
* Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Working Hours
* Coverage through March 2027
* Outpatient clinic focus, averaging 30 patients per day
* No inpatient rounding required
* Locum-to-perm arrangement for long-term coverage
