- Other Details: We are seeking a locum-to-perm hematology-oncology physician to provide coverage on a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off schedule with call, including 6 patient contact hours per day and clinic days from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The role includes medical hematology/oncology coverage 4–5 days per week, with inpatient responsibilities at two hospital sites and potential telehealth encounters. The provider will manage a daily hospital census of 10–15 patients and a clinic volume of 10–30 patients, with consults lasting 40 minutes and follow-ups 20 minutes. Responsibilities include patient assessments, developing new and ongoing treatment plans, therapy adjustments, referrals for ancillary services, end-of-life care, chemotherapy management, and pain management, while collaborating with existing providers for radiation and surgical oncology care. Support includes 1:1 nursing, medical imaging, and lab and pharmacy services, with no supervision of advanced practice providers required.

Job Responsibilities
* Conduct patient assessments, develop new and ongoing treatment plans, and adjust therapies as needed
* Manage chemotherapy and pain management for patients
* Provide referrals for ancillary services and end-of-life care
* Collaborate with existing providers for radiation and surgical oncology care
* Conduct telehealth visits as needed
* Ensure accurate documentation of all patient care and coordination with hospital staff
Qualifications
* Experience in inpatient and outpatient hematology-oncology care
* Ability to manage chemotherapy and complex oncology cases independently
* Familiarity with telehealth patient management
* Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Working Hours
* Clinic days: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., 6 patient contact hours per day
* Inpatient responsibilities at two hospital sites
