Job Description:
- Coverage primarily at a facility in Clinton, IA; may eventually rotate to an affiliated health system in Davenport, IA.
- Expect to split time approximately 30% Hematology / 70% Medical Oncology.
- After-hours call is phone-only and very minimal.
- Practice is attached to the hospital.
- Currently averages 30 patients per day (adult and geriatric population).
- New patient visits are allocated 30 minutes; follow-up visits are 15 minutes.
- Physicians are supported by four RNs, an MA, a CNA, and a receptionist.
- Hospitalists are available to cover infusions, if needed.
- Onsite Radiation Oncology services are available through an academic outreach program.
- Strong primary care network providing a steady stream of internal referrals.
- Practice in a professionally managed, state-of-the-art facility with full ancillary services.
- Community Health Needs Assessment (FY22–24) identified cancer as one of the top eight health priorities in the service area. The organization is actively working toward Commission on Cancer (CoC) Accreditation.
- Not accepting Locums candidates.
- Not accepting visa candidates.
Submission Requirements
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Medical Oncology - [REQUIRED]
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Hematology - [REQUIRED]
- IA license (or willing to obtain) - [REQUIRED]
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) - [REQUIRED] * no exemption, required at presentation
