A well-established medical center in New York is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity beginning in April 2026. This is a 100% outpatient role offering a consistent schedule and strong clinical support.

Position Overview:

• Start Date: April 2026
• Schedule: 3 days per week (full-time equivalent)
• Setting: Outpatient clinic only
• Assignment Length: Ongoing

Clinical Details:

• Patient Volume: 1215 patients per day
• Case Mix:
  • ~80% Oncology
  • ~20% Hematology (benign and malignant)
• Scope of Practice:
  • Medical oncology care
  • Hematologic evaluation and management
  • Infusion oversight and treatment planning
  • Participation in collaborative care model

Team & Support:

• Collaborative environment with physician and nurse practitioner support onsite
• Dedicated nursing and clinical staff
• Established workflows and infrastructure for efficient outpatient care

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
• Active New York medical license required
• Comfortable practicing in an outpatient oncology setting

Additional Details

• No call, nights, or weekends
• Bone marrow procedures are a plus (primarily handled by interventional radiology)
• Epic EMR
