Exciting locum Hematology/Oncology opportunity in the heart of New England! This role offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient consults, a collaborative care model, and a 6–12 month assignment with extension potential. Job Responsibilities
• Provide Hematology (80%) and Oncology (20%) care
• Manage inpatient consults and outpatient clinic visits
• Participate in infrequent weekend and night call rotation
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to adult and geriatric populations
• Collaborate with physicians and APPs in a team-based environment
Qualifications
• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
• Active Connecticut license required at submission
• Experience with adult/geriatric patients
• Comfortable with inpatient and outpatient settings
• NPDB self-query required at submission
Working Hours
• 3–4 clinic days/week (Mon–Fri): 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Infrequent weekend and night call
• Weekend call: ~2–3 per year | Night call: ~1:10 ⏱️
Skills
• Strong clinical judgment in Hem/Onc
• Excellent communication & care coordination
• EMR proficiency (Epic experience preferred)
• Team collaboration and adaptability
