We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for a high-priority locum opportunity in Greenville, South Carolina. This role offers a structured weekday schedule, a collaborative oncology team, and the chance to work in a well-established cancer care program.

🩺 Position Overview

• Specialty: Hematology / Oncology

• Position Type: Locum Tenens

• Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

• Call: No call during locum coverage

• Contract: Minimum 6-month commitment required

• Availability: 4 weeks per month with at least 4 working days per week

• Credentialing Time: ~60 days

🏥 Practice Setting

Free-standing cancer center with a strong multidisciplinary team.

• 7 Physicians

• 6 Advanced Practice Providers

• Nurse-led chemotherapy administration

• Collaborative tumor board participation

👩‍⚕️ Patient Population

• Adult & Geriatric patients

• Case mix:

  • 65% Benign Hematology

  • 35% Malignant Oncology

📊 Patient Volume

• Outpatient: ~25 patients per day

• Hospital (rounding/call when permanent): ~20 patients per day

💼 Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage hematology and oncology patients

• Participate in Tumor Board discussions

• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests

• Manage treatment plans including chemotherapy coordination

• Assist with bone marrow transplant patient management

• Prescribe medications and oversee comprehensive cancer care

✅ Requirements

• Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology

• Active South Carolina Medical License

• BLS & DEA required

• Clean background for emergency credentialing

• Current NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days)
