A state-of-the-art Cancer Center in Upstate South Carolina is seeking a fellowship-trained Hematologist/Oncologist to join a growing oncology program serving a rapidly expanding community of approximately 185,000 residents.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity within a Commission on Cancer–accredited center featuring robust supportive services, on-site radiation oncology, infusion services, and access to national clinical trials. The practice is in a rebuilding phase, offering strong leadership support and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in program development

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient hematology and oncology care
• Conduct clinic visits and limited inpatient hospital rounds
• Cover practice call and inpatient oncology (no weekend call)
• Manage approximately 15–25 patients per day
• Contribute to care for approximately 1,200 new cancer cases annually
• Collaborate with radiation oncology and multidisciplinary care teams
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and care coordination
• Participate in clinical trials through national research networks

Qualifications

• Board Eligible (within 5 years) or Board Certified in Hematology/Medical Oncology – Required
• Board Certification highly preferred
• Completion of accredited Hematology/Oncology fellowship – Required
• Active South Carolina medical license (or willingness to obtain) – Required
• Clean malpractice and license history – Required
• Most recent NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) – Required
• DEA and CSR/CDS (must be obtained prior to start) – Required
• Open to H1B and J1 visa candidates
• Not open to locums, 1099, commuters, or secondary employment candidates
• Must reside locally; relocation may be required

Working Hours

• Full-time schedule
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (32 minimum patient contact hours)
• Weekday call coverage (no weekends)

Skills

• Strong clinical expertise in hematology and medical oncology
• Ability to work independently in a complex oncology setting
• Multidisciplinary collaboration and care coordination
• Experience with infusion-based oncology care
• EMR proficiency (EPIC preferred)
• Leadership mindset and program-building interest
