LOCUM Hematology Oncology Physician – Des Moines, Iowa
2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off | Inpatient + Clinic | EPIC
365 Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified or Truly Board Eligible Hematology Oncology Physician for a locum opportunity in Des Moines, Iowa. This assignment offers a highly desirable 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule with a balanced mix of clinic and inpatient coverage across two established medical centers.
This is a strong opportunity for physicians seeking block scheduling with inpatient continuity and collaborative oncology support.
Schedule Model
• 2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off
• Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• 4–5 clinic days per week during on weeks
• Call required (exact schedule TBD)
• No procedure/OR days
Practice Overview
• Medical Hematology/Oncology coverage
• Inpatient responsibilities at two locations
• Telehealth may be included in addition to inpatient care
• Clinic volume: 10–30 patients per day
• Average hospital census: 10–15 patients
• Appointment times: 40-minute consults / 20-minute follow-ups
• 1:1 nursing support
• No APP supervision required
• EMR: EPIC
Services include:
• New patient evaluations
• Treatment planning and therapy adjustments
• Chemotherapy management
• Pain management coordination
• End-of-life care
• Referrals for ancillary services
Radiation and surgical oncology services are supported by established collaborating providers.
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Hematology & Oncology
• Fellowship Trained in Hematology & Oncology
• Active Iowa License or Active IMLC
• Must be willing to work at both Des Moines locations
• Experience preferred
• Clean malpractice and background history
• NPDB Self-Query (within current month)
