UCHealth Medical Group’s Cancer Care and Hematology Clinic at UCHealth is actively seeking a dedicated, board-eligible or board-certified Hematology/Oncology Physician to join our established, high-performing team. This full-time position offers an exceptional opportunity to deliver comprehensive cancer care within a collaborative, innovative environment, serving both urban and rural populations across southern Colorado.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert hematology and oncology care to outpatient and affiliated clinic patients, ensuring the highest standards of patient-centered treatment.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team comprising physicians, advanced practice providers, nurse navigators, social workers, and support staff to coordinate comprehensive cancer management.
- Deliver outreach services approximately six days per month at rural clinics in Lamar and Trinidad, traveling 2-3 hours from Colorado Springs to support underserved communities.
- Maintain continuous communication and coordinated care with the Colorado Springs-based cancer center team.
- Utilize EPIC electronic health records to document and manage patient care efficiently.
- Participate in a flexible four-day workweek model, with limited call responsibilities sharing among team members.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives, clinical growth programs, and innovative practices within an academically-driven health system.
- Contribute to community outreach, education, and support efforts for underserved populations.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Passionate about rural and outreach-based cancer care with a commitment to serving diverse populations.
- Willing to travel approximately six days per month to support rural clinics.
- Values autonomy within a collaborative, supportive environment.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to equitable access to cancer care, especially in underserved areas.
- Holds valid Board Certification or is eligible and committed to certification.
- Holds active DEA registration and BLS certification.
- Not engaging in locum tenens work; committed to long-term employment.
- Currently cleared through UCHealth system-wide background checks; unable to support visa sponsorship.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $489,000 – $543,000 annually, commensurate with experience
- Eligibility for performance-based bonuses

Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board Certified or eligible in Hematology and Oncology
- Active or eligible DEA license
