We are seeking a dedicated Hematology/Oncology Physician to join a collaborative, physician-led cancer care program serving Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. This position offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic care and inpatient consults, supported by an established oncology team, advanced technology, and strong hospitalist support. The role emphasizes autonomy, professional growth, and long-term practice stability in a community-focused environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive hematology and medical oncology care in outpatient clinic settings
• Conduct inpatient hematology/oncology consultations as needed
• Manage diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up for oncology patients
• Participate in a shared call rotation
• Collaborate with nurse practitioners, hospitalists, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Utilize advanced oncology services including infusion therapy, clinical trials, genetic testing, and radiation oncology resources
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR
• Contribute to a patient-centered, high-quality cancer care program

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology
• Eligible for or able to obtain Iowa and Illinois medical licensure
• Clean or minimal malpractice history preferred
• Commitment to team-based, community oncology care
• Not open to locums or visa-sponsored candidates

Working Hours

• Full-time schedule
• Outpatient clinic coverage with inpatient consult responsibilities
• Shared call rotation
