Job description
ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a full-time Hematologist/Medical Oncologist to provide comprehensive outpatient cancer care in a fully integrated, multidisciplinary cancer center. The provider will manage new and follow-up oncology patients while collaborating closely with radiation oncology, surgical teams, and hospital services. This is primarily an outpatient role with minimal inpatient burden and limited call responsibilities.

Start: As soon as possible (March preferred)

Assignment Length: Through June (initially), with preference for long-term coverage

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Call:

After-hours answering service (only urgent calls escalated)

Weekend call compensated separately

Call limited to MCGC location only

No heavy inpatient call burden

Availability: Full-time preferred; if part-time (minimum 2 days/week), must remain available for patient-related staff calls
Job Details & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive outpatient Hematology and Medical Oncology care

Conduct new consultations (30–45 minutes) and follow-ups (15–20 minutes)

Participate in multidisciplinary care planning

Collaborate with radiation oncology, surgical specialists, and hospital teams

Inpatient care supported by private practice APPs
-
No required procedures

12 exam rooms (9 dedicated to medical oncology)

Infusion center with 16 chairs and 2 private infusion rooms

Onsite multidisciplinary support including:

Advanced Practice Providers

RN Navigators
-
Social Workers
-
Dieticians
-
Oncology Pharmacist

Research and Genetics services

Fully integrated cancer center environment
Required Skills & Qualifications
-
Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABMS) in Hematology/Oncology

Active Ohio medical license (IMLC not accepted)

Comfortable working in multidisciplinary team settings

Clean background (no exceptions)

Self-Query NPDB required at submission

International medical graduates accepted if ABMS certified

Preference for candidates seeking longer-term assignment
