- Other details: The facility which is stroke-certified, trauma level 2, and PEDs level 2 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and beeper call if needed.There are an average of 18-25 patients per shift and less than 10 beds in the department. We are seeking a provider with at least 2 weeks of availability to join a full-time team that staffs a clinic Monday through Friday, from 8am to 4:30pm, with the possibility of a half-day off during the week. The ideal candidate should be available for 4 weeks per month, as this position will not be job-shared with someone working 3 weeks on and 2 weeks off. The clinic is staffed by 2 full-time physicians and 2 full-time APPs, and the duties focus primarily on medical oncology and hematology patients. Responsibilities include consults, follow-ups, and potential bone marrow procedures, with beeper call for consultations. 1-2 night call patients. Call typically consists of phone calls and occasional rounding. The provider must be able to perform bone marrow biopsies (preferred, but can work around), and new patients are admitted by hospitalists. The clinic sees a 40% hematology-oncology and 60% medical oncology mix, with no acute leukemia or malignant hem cases. Emergency privileges will be offered for open dates within 60 days. The call schedule is light, with hospital on-call only for weekends and some weeknight evenings.

Job Responsibilities
* Perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies (preferred, but can be flexible).
* Handle phone consultations during beeper call, with occasional rounding.
* Manage a patient census of 15-23 per clinic shift.
* Adhere to hospitalist admissions for new patients.
* Be available for hospital call on weekends and some weeknight evenings, with a light call burden.
Qualifications
* Ability to perform bone marrow biopsies (preferred).
* Experience with both medical oncology and hematology cases.
* Availability to commit to 4 weeks per month.
Working Hours
* Potential for a half-day off during the week (Monday-Thursday).
* On-call weekends and some weeknight evenings (light call).
* Expected to be available for 4 weeks per month.
