ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Locum Hematologist Oncologist to provide clinic-based care with limited inpatient responsibilities. This position primarily involves outpatient consults, follow-ups, and oversight of oncology treatments, with light phone-only call coverage. The role supports a well-staffed practice with strong ancillary and nursing support.

Clinical Responsibilities

Outpatient consults and follow-up care

Oversee administration of antineoplastics in clinic

Limited inpatient consults (hospitalists admit patients; 0–2 average daily census)

Very infrequent in-person hospital consults at MO Cedar Falls Medical Center

No outreach or telehealth

Clinic Volume: 16–20 patients per day

Appointment Lengths: 15–20 minutes (follow-ups); 60 minutes (consults)

Patient Population: Adults 18+

Exam Rooms: 4

APPs: 2 (no supervision required)

Nursing Support: 2 nurses per provider plus referral and triage nurses

Ancillary Support: Reception, lab, pharmacy, social worker, referrals, dietician

Required Skills & Qualifications

Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology – REQUIRED

Fellowship Trained in Hematology & Oncology – REQUIRED

Active Iowa License or Active IMLC (LOQ required at name clear) – REQUIRED

Full-Time Availability (Mon–Thurs) – REQUIRED

Ability to Perform MUA – REQUIRED

Clean Malpractice & Background – REQUIRED

Self-Query NPDB report (dated within 30 days) required at presentation
