Locums – Waterloo, Iowa | Hematology/Oncology (IMLC Accepted)
Role Type: Outpatient clinic with minimal inpatient responsibilities (hospitalists admit; physician mostly phone consults)
Schedule:
- Mon–Thurs, 0800–1630, 16 shifts/month
- On call: 1 week + 1 weekend/month (phone calls only)
- Patient contact hours: variable
- Consults, follow-up care, oversee antineoplastics administration
- Infrequent inpatient visits
- No outreach or telehealth required
- Providers: 2 APPs, no supervision required
- Nursing support: 2 nurses per provider + triage/referral nurses
- Ancillary staff: reception, lab, social worker, referrals, dietician
- Services: antineoplastics, phlebotomies, IV IgG, iron therapy, bone marrow biopsies
- Exam rooms: 4
- Daily clinic volume: 16–20 patients
- EMR: EPIC
- Teaching opportunities: Yes
- Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology (REQUIRED)
- Fellowship Trained in Hem/Onc (REQUIRED)
- Active IA License or IMLC (REQUIRED; LOQ upload at Name Clear)
- Full-time availability (Mon–Thurs) (REQUIRED)
- Must be able to perform MUA (REQUIRED)
- Experienced preferred, but new grads considered
