Locum Hematology/Oncology Opportunity – Oregon
Bay Area Hospital is seeking a Locum Hematology/Oncology physician to provide outpatient cancer care coverage due to physician retirement and relocation.
Position Details:

Outpatient coverage at a free-standing cancer center
-
Minimum commitment of two weeks per month with ongoing coverage needed
-
Schedule: 4–5 days per week, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with administrative time available

Shared call rotation of 1:4, including seven days of call with one weekend
-
Average outpatient volume of 10–15 patients per day
-
Inpatient rounding required only when patients are admitted for chemotherapy

EMR: Epic
Practice Environment:

Team currently includes three physicians and two advanced practice providers

Radiation oncology services available onsite
-
Patient mix is primarily oncology-focused, with limited benign hematology cases
Requirements:
-
Board Certified in both Hematology and Oncology

Oregon medical license preferred; willingness to obtain accepted

DEA required
-
Ability to obtain medical staff privileges

Clean malpractice and background history highly preferred

CAQH login required at time of offer

NPDB self-query required at time of presentation
