Job description
ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking an Outpatient Locum Hematology/Oncology physician to begin in March 2026. This role supports a new service line and focuses on outpatient oncology and hematology care, including infusion coverage across multiple campuses. The physician will treat adult and geriatric patients in a high-volume outpatient setting using EPIC EMR.
Dates & Schedule

Coverage Period: March 2026 – March 2027

Setting: Outpatient Hematology/Oncology

Locations: Mishawaka campus (3 days/week) and Plymouth (2 days/week)

Call: Evening call coverage required

Patient Volume: ~30 outpatient clinic patients per day

Hospital Rounding: None (0 patients per day)

Credentialing Timeframe:
-
With active Indiana license: ~60 days
-
Without Indiana license: ~90 days

Job Details & Responsibilities
-
Provide outpatient hematology (50%) and oncology (50%) care (0% internal medicine)

Deliver infusion coverage at both designated campuses
-
Manage adult and geriatric patient populations
-
Perform required procedures:
-
Management of VAD/CV catheters
-
Bone marrow biopsy
-

Participate in tumor board meetings
-
Manage bone marrow transplant patients
-
Order diagnostic tests and imaging
-
Prescribe medications and oversee blood bank utilization
-
Administer chemotherapy (in collaboration with physician and nurse oncologist team)

Utilize EPIC for documentation
Required Skills & Qualifications
-
Board Certification: AMBS/AOA board certification in one specialty with demonstrated competency in the other (Required)

Indiana State License: Active IN license or IMLC with Letter of Qualification (Required)

BLS Certification: Required

Self-Query NPDB: Must be completed within one month of presentation

Experience in outpatient hematology/oncology care and chemotherapy administration

Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
