This is a high-quality Hematology Oncology locums opportunity in New Mexico offering strong outpatient and inpatient continuity, a modern cancer center environment, and a stable weekday schedule with shared call. The facility is seeking consistent long-term coverage with the ability to work 5 days per week, supported by a dedicated chemo suite, strong RN and MA support, and a collaborative oncology team. If you are Board Eligible or Board Certified and looking for a long-term oncology assignment with an established cancer program, this is an outstanding opportunity.
Job Responsibilities
• Round inpatient oncology patients as needed
• Participate in shared call rotation
• Collaborate with radiation oncology team
• Support weekly tumor boards
• Manage consults and chemo coordination
Qualifications
• Board Eligible or Board Certified required
• Fellowship preferred
• BLS required
• Comfortable with both outpatient and inpatient oncology
• Strong experience managing chemo patients and consults
Working Hours
• End Date: Ongoing
• Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00a to 5:00p
• Call: Shared weekday call plus optional weekend call
• Weekend Call: 24-hour call coverage (as needed)
• Patient Volume: Up to 17 per day
• Clinic Structure: 1 hour new patient visits, 20 minute follow ups
• Support Staff: 5 RNs, 1 MA, 1 APP
• EMR: Mosaiq
• Credentialing: Approx. 60 days
