Locum to Perm Physician – Hematology Oncology
Position Type: Locum to Perm
Specialty: Physician – Hematology Oncology
Location: Iowa
Rate: Open & Negotiable
Shift: Clinic hours 8a–4p; 4–5 days per week; call schedule TBD
- Patient Population: Adult oncology/hematology patients (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial)
- Setting: Inpatient and outpatient clinic with telehealth and outreach
- Responsibilities: Medical hematology/oncology coverage, inpatient rounding at two hospitals, outpatient clinic visits, treatment planning, chemotherapy management, referrals, and end-of-life care
- Required Procedures: Chemotherapy management and oncology/hematology treatment services
- EMR System: EPIC
- Support Staff: 1:1 nursing support
- Days Per Month: 4–5 days per week
- On-Call/Weekends: Yes; weekends as needed; call schedule TBD
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Hematology & Oncology
- Fellowship trained in Hematology & Oncology
- Active Iowa license or IMLC
- Experienced provider required
- Willing to work at both MercyOne Des Moines and MercyOne West Des Moines
- Clean malpractice/background with NPDB Self Query (within 30 days)
