We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematology Oncology Physician for a locum tenens Medical Oncology opportunity in Greenville, South Carolina. This position is based in a well-established, free-standing cancer center that provides comprehensive outpatient and inpatient oncology care to adult and geriatric patients.

This role offers a predictable weekday schedule with no call during the locum assignment, making it ideal for oncologists seeking work-life balance while practicing high-quality, patient-centered cancer care. The practice features a strong multidisciplinary team, advanced oncology services, and full support from experienced nursing and advanced practice providers.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical oncology and hematology care to adult and geriatric patients
• Manage malignant oncology and benign hematology cases
• Conduct outpatient clinic visits and inpatient rounding as needed
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards
• Manage and oversee chemotherapy treatment plans
• Coordinate care with nursing staff, APPs, and specialty consultants
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging
• Prescribe and manage oncology-related medications
• Participate in blood bank oversight and bone marrow transplant coordination
• Maintain accurate documentation using the electronic medical record system

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Hematology Oncology
• Active South Carolina medical license
• BLS certification
• DEA registration
• Clean professional background for expedited credentialing
• Recent NPDB self-query report (within required timeframe)
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills

Working Hours

• Monday through Friday
• Day shifts only
• Typical hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• No call responsibilities during the locum assignment
