A Medical Hematology/Oncology locum tenens opportunity is available in Des Moines, Iowa, offering a mix of clinic, inpatient coverage, outreach, and telehealth.

• Duration: Ongoing need

• Practice Setting: Clinic and Inpatient

• Facilities: Provider must be willing to work at two locations

• Clinic Days: 8 days per month

• Clinic Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

• Medical Oncology Coverage: 4–5 days per week

• Procedure / OR Days: None

• On Call: Yes — schedule TBD ASAP

• Patient Contact Hours: 6 hours/day

• Outreach: Yes

  • Potential outreach to Newton, Iowa approximately 6 days per month

• Telehealth: Yes

• Clinic Daily Volume: 10–30 patients

• Average Daily Hospital Census: 10–15

• Appointment Lengths:

  • Consults: 40 minutes

  • Follow-ups: 20 minutes

• Patient Population:

  • Primary Clinic: Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial

  • Secondary Clinic: Commercial, Medicare

• Number of Physicians: 1

• Nursing Support: 1:1

• Onsite Services:

  • Medical Imaging

  • Laboratory

  • Pharmacy

• EPIC

• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Hematology & Oncology – Required

• Fellowship Trained in Hematology & Oncology – Required

• Active Iowa License or Active IMLC – Required

• Experienced Provider – Required

• Willing to work at two facilities – Required
