Job description
Details & requirements for this opportunity:
- Specialty: Hematology and Oncology
- Requirement: Physician (MD/DO)
- Location: Oregon
- Job settings: Inpatient, Outpatient
- Coverage Required: 5/26/2026 - Ongoing
- Schedule: On-site clinical hours only
- Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days
- License: An active Oregon state license is required
- EMR: Epic
- Must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible
- Other details: The facility which is stroke-certified is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours only. There are an average of 15 patients per shift. We are seeking one provider to cover a full-time outpatient clinic need, working four days per week on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., which includes pre-charting, clinic time, additional charting, and a lunch break from 12:00–1:00 p.m. The provider will manage a panel of established patients while also accepting new patients and will field patient calls during clinic hours as part of regular responsibilities. The infusion room is located within the same suite, and the provider may be consulted by APPs or nursing staff regarding treatment parameters, be expected to respond to infusion reactions, and manage urgent situations until the rapid response team arrives. Daily patient triage typically flows from NPs to physicians, with the provider available to address patient questions, sign chemotherapy orders, support nursing staff during infusion administration, and respond to any patient reactions within the clinic. Bone marrow biopsies are unlikely to be required. Hospital privileges are necessary, as this is a hospital-based practice. Requirements include an active Oregon medical license and DEA, board certification, and current BLS certification.
