The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking board-certified or board-eligible Hematology/Oncology physicians to join a well-established, community-based practice in Florence, SC. This Monday–Friday clinical role focuses on coordinating and managing cancer care in collaboration with MUSC’s Division of Hematology & Oncology at Hollings Cancer Center, following NCCN guidelines. Passionate physicians who are confident in managing cancer diagnoses will join a team committed to expanding access to high-quality cancer treatment for patients in Florence and surrounding communities.

About MUSC Health – Florence is a 396-bed regional acute care facility with more than 1,500 employees and nearly 250 physicians across all major specialties, serving the healthcare needs of Northeastern South Carolina. The hospital offers a comprehensive range of services, including cancer care, cardiac services, women’s health, orthopedics, surgery, emergency and trauma care, rehabilitation, and community health services. Ongoing expansions in medical education and specialty care include growth of family and internal medicine residency programs and integration into the MUSC Hollings Cancer Network, enhancing access to advanced cancer care and clinical trials. MUSC Health–Florence is also recognized for high performance in areas such as maternity care and patient safety, underscoring its commitment to quality regional healthcare.

Required Qualifications:

  • Board certified/Board eligible in Hematology/Oncology
  • Interest in building a newly established practice
  • Eligible for SC licensure
  • Willing to assist in teaching of residents and fellows.

Position Highlights:

  • Monday-Friday Schedule with allotted admin time.
