We are seeking Hematology/Oncology physicians for a well-established outpatient cancer program in Santa Cruz, CA. This opportunity is ideal for providers seeking a high-quality practice environment, collaborative support, and a coastal lifestyle—with the potential to transition into a long-term, full-time role for the right fit.

Position Highlights

  • Premier Outpatient Infusion Center featuring 15 private infusion bays arranged around a central nursing hub for patient safety and comfort

Schedule & Availability

  • Ideal Start Date: Tentative March 1 (or as soon as credentialed)

  • Shift Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Full-Time: 5 days per week

  • Part-Time: 2–3 days per week

Clinical Details

  • Patient Volume: Approximately 13–18 patients per day

  • Duties:

    • Deliver high-quality hematology and oncology care in an outpatient setting

    • Utilize an on-site infusion center for modern treatment delivery

    • Collaborate with nurse navigators, social workers, pharmacists, and care coordinators

    • Participate in a patient-centered care model from diagnosis through survivorship

  • EMR: Cerner

  • Support Staff & Resources:

    • Dedicated RN staff

    • Nurse navigators, social workers, pharmacy liaison, research coordinators, genetic counselors

    • 17-bed inpatient oncology unit with daily multidisciplinary rounds

    • Weekly tumor boards, rapid diagnosis clinic, radiation centers, clinical trials, survivorship and bereavement programs

Requirements

  • Active California license

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology

  • Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program

  • Active DEA and BLS

  • Clean malpractice and background history

  • NPDB self-query dated within 30 days (Required at presentation)
