We are actively seeking Hematology/Oncology physicians to join a well-established, patient-centered ambulatory cancer program in Santa Cruz, California. This opportunity includes 1 full-time and 1 part-time opening, with a target start date of March 1 (pending credentialing).

Schedule Options

Full-Time: 5 days/week (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Part-Time: 2–3 days/week (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Job Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care in a high-functioning clinic
Utilize the Premier Infusion Center, featuring 15 private bays arranged around a central nursing hub for optimal patient safety and comfort
Partner with nurse navigators, social workers, and care coordinators to support patients from diagnosis through survivorship
Average patient volume: 13–18 patients per day
Clinical Infrastructure & Support
EMR: Cerner
Dedicated RN staff
Multidisciplinary team including:
Nurse navigators
Social workers
Pharmacy liaison (oral oncology meds)
Research coordinators
Genetic counselors
17-bed inpatient oncology unit with daily multidisciplinary rounds
Weekly tumor boards
Rapid diagnosis clinic
Two radiation centers
Access to:
Katz Cancer Resource Center
Clinical trials
Tele-genetics
Survivorship & bereavement programs
24/7 anesthesia coverage
Reason for Coverage
Current physicians are departing to establish their own practice
Qualifications
Board Certified Hematology – Highly preferred (BE considered)
Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program – Required
Active California license – Required
Active BLS – Required
Active DEA – Required
Clean malpractice and background history – Required
Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation – Required
