Locum Tenens Physician – Hematology & Oncology
Location: Eau Claire, WI
Duration: Late June 2026 – October 2026
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Call: 1:3–4 rotation when other providers are off
Practice Overview
This community-based Hematology & Oncology practice provides comprehensive care for oncology and hematology patients, including ambulatory and hospital consultations. The practice features a full-service cancer center with infusion capabilities and on-site procedural support. Providers will have the opportunity to perform bone marrow biopsies within the facility. Radiation oncology services are also available onsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a full patient panel of hematology and oncology patients, both inpatient and outpatient.
- Conduct bone marrow biopsies (preferred) and other relevant procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation (1:3–4) to provide coverage when other providers are off.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including MDs and NPs.
- Document patient care accurately using the electronic medical record system (Cerner).
- Provide care in accordance with established guidelines and best practices.
Practice Facilities
- 18 chemotherapy infusion chairs and 2 non-chemo infusion chairs
- In-house lab and procedural support for bone marrow biopsies
- Access to radiation oncology services
Requirements
- Board-certified/eligible in Hematology & Oncology
- Valid state medical license
- Active DEA certification
- Malpractice insurance coverage (if applicable)
- Ability to utilize real-time mobile time clock with GPS tracking
Support Staff
- Locum provider will be supported by an adequate team of medical assistants and nursing staff as required

Additional Information
- No telehealth required
- Outpatient and inpatient care required
- Providers will work alongside two MDs and three NPs
- Major holidays observed include New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and Christmas Eve (half day)
