TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide locum coverage at a hospital-based oncology clinic in Tarboro, North Carolina. This is a primarily outpatient opportunity with no nights, no weekends, and strong APP support.
Position Details
Job Type: Locum Tenens – Ongoing During Recruitment
Specialty: Hematology / Oncology
Setting: 99% Outpatient (rare inpatient consults only)
Start Date: March 2, 2026 – Ongoing
Orientation: Providers must arrive the day before the first shift
Schedule:
Monday – Thursday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Volume & Responsibilities
Average patients/day: ~15
Rare inpatient consults (1–2 per year)
No ICU or critical care responsibilities
No ER backup required
No nights or weekends
Team & Support
1–2 APPs on the team
EMR: Epic Oncology
Facility Highlights
117-bed hospital
Level III Intermediate Care Nursery
Same Day Surgery Center
Services include Orthopedics, Cardiology, Critical Care, Urology, and OB/GYN
Requirements
Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
Minimum 3–5 years of experience
Active NC license (or ability to obtain)
BLS required (AHA)
