Job description
Locum Medical Oncologist opportunity to provide primarily inpatient oncology coverage with some outpatient support during physician vacation periods. Coverage includes short-term January 2026 dates with additional extended coverage needed through mid-August 2026.
Job Responsibilities
• Limited outpatient oncology coverage as needed
• Manage adult hematology and oncology patients
• Oversight and supervision of Nurse Practitioner
• Participate in call coverage
• Enroll eligible patients in research studies
Qualifications
• Active Virginia medical license (Required)
• BLS certification (Required)
• Clean background and malpractice history (Required)
• Current NPDB required at submission
• Local provider only (travel limited to mileage reimbursement)
Working Hours
• January 19–30, 2026
• Additional full-time coverage: February through mid-August 2026
Skills
