Summary:
A locum Medical Oncologist is needed to provide coverage following the departure of a physician. The role includes inpatient-focused oncology care with some outpatient coverage, along with call responsibilities and oversight of advanced practice support.

Schedule & Coverage:

  • Coverage needed January 19–30, 2026

  • Additional full-time coverage requested from February through mid-August

  • Inpatient-focused role with limited outpatient coverage during physician absences

Practice Setting:

  • Oncology and hematology services in both inpatient and outpatient settings

  • Adult patient population

  • Team includes two physicians

  • Average inpatient census of approximately 12–15 patients per day

  • EMR: Epic

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient oncology/hematology care

  • Oversight and supervision of a Nurse Practitioner

  • Participation in call coverage

  • Willingness to enroll patients in clinical research studies

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology

  • Active state medical license

  • BLS certification

  • Clean background and current NPDB required

  • Local provider required
