Locums - Bristol, Virginia, Hematology/Oncology Opening

• Hours: 8–10 hours per day

• Days: 4–5 days per week

• Typical Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Last patient scheduled at 3:40 PM

• Days of the week are negotiable

• Department Composition:

• 1 Full-Time Medical Oncologist/Hematologist

• 1 Full-Time Medical Oncologist/Infectious Disease Specialist

• 4 APPs

Support Team Includes:

4 APPs

2 Oncology RNs

8 Infusion RNs

4 MA/LPNs

2 Clinical Pharmacists

Social Worker, Dietician, Navigators

Front Office Schedulers

Nurse Educator, Financial Counselors

Research Nurse

On-site Laboratory

• Patient Volume: 13–15 patients per day

• Patient Population: Adults (18+)

• Solid tumors and malignant hematology

• Benign hematology (iron deficiency, anemia, etc.)

• Bone marrow transplants referred to tertiary centers

• No bone marrow biopsies performed in clinic

• EMR: Epic / Beacon

• Board Certified Hematology/Oncology – Required

• Active Virginia License – Required

• BLS – Required

• DEA – Required

• Minimum 2 years of experience – Required

• Emergency privileges will be requested
