Join Our Team as a Hematology/Oncology Physician and Make a Difference in Patient Care

Are you a dedicated Hematology/Oncology Physician seeking a rewarding opportunity to apply your expertise and improve patient outcomes? We are seeking a highly skilled provider to deliver exceptional care in a dynamic clinical environment. This role offers the chance to collaborate with a comprehensive support staff, manage a diverse patient population, and contribute to groundbreaking care in oncology and hematology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outpatient clinical coverage for solid tumors and hematologic malignancies.
  • Manage a patient schedule of approximately 13-15 patients daily, aged 18 and older.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including APPs, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and other specialists.
  • Utilize Epic/Beacon EMR systems for documentation.
  • Support a facility that handles straightforward hematology cases such as iron deficiency anemia, with referrals for more complex procedures like bone marrow biopsies to tertiary centers.

Required Skills:
  • Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology.
  • Valid Virginia state medical license.
  • Full DEA certification for Virginia.
  • BLS certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
  • Strong communication and patient management skills.
  • Ability to work independently within a team in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with infusion therapies.
  • Familiarity with healthcare navigation and patient education.
  • Prior work in outpatient oncology clinics.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • At least 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in hematology and oncology.

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to undergo emergency credentialing privileges.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • No travel required; all billable expenses related to travel (if applicable) will be reimbursed.

This position offers an competitive hourly rate of $507.00, with a scheduled shift from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, starting February 3, 2026.
