We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide exceptional patient care in our reputable Cancer Center. This full-time role offers you the opportunity to support a vibrant healthcare environment, work alongside a talented multidisciplinary team, and positively impact patients' lives. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized medical diagnosis, treatment, and management for adult patients (18+) with hematologic and oncologic conditions.
- Conduct patient consultations, oversee treatment plans, and perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, Certified Medical Assistants, and Advanced Practice Providers to deliver comprehensive care.
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient activities, offering inpatient call coverage approximately once every third week.
- Utilize Cerner EMR system for documentation and patient management.
- Adhere to all regulatory and licensing requirements, maintaining certifications and licenses in good standing.
Required Skills:
- Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology.
- Active state medical license with ability to obtain a temporary license if necessary.
- DEA certification.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant practice experience in oncology/hematology settings.
- Proficiency in EMR systems, specifically Cerner.
- Strong clinical skills, diagnostic acumen, and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to support a full-time schedule with at least 3 weeks of coverage per month.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Additional certifications such as Oncology Fellowship, BLS, ACLS.
- Experience with bone marrow biopsies and advanced oncologic procedures.
- Familiarity with hospital-based practice settings.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Proven clinical experience within a cancer treatment center.
Other Requirements:
- Must have a clean background; pre-approval of background check and licenses is required immediately upon offer.
- Willingness to obtain licensure, including temporary license options.
- Flexibility to start as soon as March 2026; contract duration of one year.
- Ability to work weekdays, with inpatient call duties scheduled every third week.
