Join Our Team as a Hematology/Oncology Physician – Make a Difference in Cancer Care!

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide exceptional patient care in our reputable Cancer Center. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized medical diagnosis, treatment, and management for adult patients (18+) with hematologic and oncologic conditions.
  • Conduct patient consultations, oversee treatment plans, and perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, Certified Medical Assistants, and Advanced Practice Providers to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Participate in inpatient and outpatient activities, offering inpatient call coverage approximately once every third week.
  • Utilize Cerner EMR system for documentation and patient management.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and licensing requirements, maintaining certifications and licenses in good standing.

Required Skills:
  • Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology.
  • Active state medical license with ability to obtain a temporary license if necessary.
  • DEA certification.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant practice experience in oncology/hematology settings.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems, specifically Cerner.
  • Strong clinical skills, diagnostic acumen, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to support a full-time schedule with at least 3 weeks of coverage per month.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Additional certifications such as Oncology Fellowship, BLS, ACLS.
  • Experience with bone marrow biopsies and advanced oncologic procedures.
  • Familiarity with hospital-based practice settings.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Proven clinical experience within a cancer treatment center.

Other Requirements:
  • Must have a clean background; pre-approval of background check and licenses is required immediately upon offer.
  • Willingness to obtain licensure, including temporary license options.
  • Flexibility to start as soon as March 2026; contract duration of one year.
  • Ability to work weekdays, with inpatient call duties scheduled every third week.
