JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: Hematology/Oncology Physician
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Location: Charleston, WV
• Service Setting: Inpatient
• Coverage Type: Clinical + Call
• Coverage Period: March 2, 2026 – Ongoing
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• On-Call Shift Schedule: Inpatient call every third week, including weekends
• Call Type: In-House
• Call Ratio: 1:3
COVERAGE DATES
• Ongoing coverage beginning March 2, 2026
• Full-time coverage required
• Minimum availability of three weeks per month
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adults (18+)
• Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 15 patients per day
• Admissions: Yes
• Rounding: Included
• Phone Consults: Yes
• Case Mix: Oncology and hematology patients
FACILITY INFORMATION
• EMR System: Cerner
• Office Equipment Available: Standard clinic equipment
• Specialty Backup Available: Oncology support services
• Support Staff Available: Nurses, CMAs, and APPs
• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental full-time coverage

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active state medical license required
• Board: Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
• DEA: Active DEA required
• Certifications: Oncology fellowship, BLS, ACLS required
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience
• Other Qualifications: Ability to provide full-time coverage
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide outpatient hematology and oncology clinic services
• Manage inpatient oncology consults and admissions
• Perform bone marrow biopsies as required
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary cancer care teams
• Provide on-call coverage in accordance with call schedule
