Job description
We are actively seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for locum tenens coverage at a Free-Standing Cancer Center in beautiful Greenville, SC. This is a highly desirable, no-call locums opportunity with excellent support and predictable hours.
Job Responsibilities
Practice Setting: Free-Standing Cancer Center
Reason for Coverage: Loss of provider
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Call:
Locums: No call
If permanent: 1 week every 6–8 weeks
Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric
Patient Volume:
Outpatient: ~25/day
Inpatient (rounding): ~20/day
Qualifications
65% Benign Hematology
35% Malignant Oncology
0% Internal Medicine
Team Structure:
Physicians: 7
APPs: 6
Chemotherapy Administration: Nurse-led
Required Duties:
Participation in Tumor Board
Management of Bone Marrow Transplants
Blood Bank oversight
Order tests & imaging
Prescribing responsibilities
EMR:
EPIC
Requirements:
Board Certified – Hematology & Oncology (Required)
Active SC License (or willing to obtain)
BLS & DEA
Clean background (Emergency temp requirement)
Current NPDB (required for presentation)
Working Hours
Compensation & Travel
Rate: $530/hour
