Locums | Hematology/Oncology | Clinic + Call | Marquette, MI Why This Role

  • Ongoing need supporting a busy heme/onc practice with consistent volumes
  • Collegial, team-based environment with APP and RN support
  • Mostly outpatient work with limited inpatient responsibilities
Assignment Details Start: 1/5/2026 End: Ongoing Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours + call Schedule: 8a–5p, Monday–Friday, with some night and weekend call Call: Phone-based call for assigned patients, 15-minute response Practice Setting: Inpatient + outpatient Patient Volumes: 10–15 patients per day Rounding: Mostly handled by APPs; physician rounds on request EMR: Athena + Cerner (ONCO EMR used in office) Multiple Providers Accepted: Yes Admissions Required: No Hospital Privileges: Required Temporary Privileges: Not available Clinical Details Group: 1 physician + 3 APPs Practice Mix: ~95% outpatient, ~5% inpatient Calls: Very limited; 1:2 rotation Support Onsite: Genetic counselor, tumor registry, research staff, pharmacists, lab tech, social work, care manager Staffing: 13 RNs, 2 navigators, extensive clerical and support team Patient Types: Hematology and oncology, consults only for admitted patients Office Flow: New consults 60 minutes, follow-ups 30 minutes, RN-roomed workflow Two-week blocks per month preferred Requirements Board Certified Hematology/Oncology Michigan license only ACLS and BLS Fellowship required Clean background preferred Provider must supervise APPs and participate in teaching as assigned Compensation Rates: Facility is accepting bids Malpractice: Provided Travel: Reimbursed
