JOB DESCRIPTION:
Medical Center in North Carolina is seeking a BC/BE a Malignant Hematologist with a focus on acute leukemia and allogeneic transplant for their primary location. Competitive compensation along with comprehensive benefits offered.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have experience in hematopoietic cell transplantation and CART cell therapy.
3 years of experience post-fellowship preferred but not mandatory for this position, with a strong focus on patient care and optimizing outcomes through a carefully curated clinical trial portfolio.
Experience in the management of patients with acute leukemia and allogeneic transplant will be the focus of this role.
About position:
Patient population 18+
The planned rounding and call schedule is 1:4 with the APPs taking 1st call.
Excellent support from the pathology department
Brand new Cancer Institute building includes an outpatient Cellular Therapy and Apheresis space with 12 HEPA filtered and monitored patient rooms built specifically to deliver outpatient CART therapy.
Coordinate all aspects of stem cell transplant and CAR-T/TIL therapy.
Coordinate with the system wide multi-disciplinary team in the development of treatment algorithms and trial opportunities for patients needing autologous or allogeneic stem cell transplantation
