Aya Locums is seeking a skilled physician to provide locum services in Eureka, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for a hematology/oncology physician looking for flexible scheduling and a rewarding work environment. Coverage is needed starting 2/1/2026 and ongoing for 6 months.
Job Details:

Case Types: Hematology/Oncology. Patients are scheduled from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM most days.

Setting: Acute Care Hospital - Locums - Providence Saint Joseph Hospital - Eureka. Practice setting is inpatient/outpatient.

Schedule: Full-time preferred (5 shifts a week, 4 weeks per month).

Shift: Standard 5, Day (8 Hours), 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Call: Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call required. Call is typically 1 week out of every 3. Providers will be on night call on weekdays and 24-hour call on weekends, but are expected to respond by phone ONLY and not be called back onsite.

Support: Yes, with 12-15 patients per shift.

EMR System: Epic.
Requirements:

Board Certification(s): Yes.

State License in [State]: Active CA License Only.

Certifications: BLS required.

Experience: Preferred: A minimum of 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in the specialty is required.
