Michigan HemOnc - Block Scheduling with Low Call Burden
An immediate locums opening for a Board Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician is available in Michigan for ongoing coverage.
Highlights
- Block scheduling offered: work two consecutive weeks per month.
- Low call burden: call is 1:2 but involves very few actual calls.
Practice Setting
- Outpatient focus with inpatient component.
- Facility holds three major accreditations, including American College of Surgeons CoC.
- Collegial 4-provider group (1 MD, 3 APPs) environment.
Schedule
- Only 2 weeks per month
- Typical shifts are 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday.
- Coverage includes occasional night and weekend call.
- Call is Beeper type with a 15-minute response time required.
Procedures and Cases
- Target patient volume is an average of 10-15 patients per day.
- New patient consults are booked for 60 minutes; follow-ups are 30 minutes.
- Scope is Hematology and Oncology coverage; no inductions performed at the facility.
- Weekly tumor board and onsite genetic counselor are available.
Requirements
- Must be a Physician (MD/DO) with an active MI license.
- Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology is required.
- Fellowship is preferred.
- Must hold ACLS and BLS certifications.
Credentialing Requirements
- Estimated credentialing timeframe is 60 days.
- Must obtain hospital and/or surgery center privileges.
