Outpatient HemOnc Opportunity – $585–$620/Hr| Travel & Lodging Covered (JP)

Description

Locums in Minot, ND is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for outpatient-only coverage. The role includes scheduled clinic visits, infusion oversight, collaboration with a full oncology care team, and recurring weekly assignments. Coverage dates include Dec 22, 2025 – May 1, 2026 with one week per month ongoing. Travel and lodging are fully covered.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient Hematology/Oncology consultations and follow-up care.

• Manage approximately 16 clinic patients and 30 infusion patients per day.

• Collaborate with a full clinical team including a Med/Hem Oncologist, Hem/Onc NP, and Radiation Oncologists.

• Review infusion treatments, labs, and therapy plans.

• Participate in optional weekend call coverage (one weekend per month preferred).

• Document all patient interactions in the facility’s EMR (currently Cerner; transitioning to Epic Beacon in Oct 2026).

Working Hours

• Monday–Friday

• 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours/week (5×8s)

• No mandatory call, but weekend call is available

• Shift Type: AM

• Meal Break: 30 minutes

Skills

• Expertise in outpatient Hematology and Oncology care

• Comfortable managing a 50/50 oncology/hematology mix

• Efficient with high-volume clinic and infusion oversight

• Strong communication with multidisciplinary oncology teams

• EMR proficiency (Cerner; willingness to transition to Epic Beacon)

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology – Required

• Active Medical License (ND or IMLC preferred if applicable)

• Outpatient HemOnc experience required

• Ability to commit to recurring scheduled weeks

• No special credentialing requirements beyond standard hospital onboarding
