📌 Position Overview

Seeking a Board-Certified Hematologist/Oncologist to support the launch of a new outpatient service line. This is a 100% outpatient assignment with no inpatient call or rounding. The ideal provider will be comfortable managing a high-volume clinic and performing core hematology/oncology procedures.

🏥 Practice Setting & Patient Volume

• Setting: Outpatient Hematology/Oncology Clinic

• 👵👴 Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric

• 📈 Daily Patient Volume: ~30 patients/day

• ⚖️ Specialty Mix: 50% Hematology / 50% Oncology

• 💻 EMR: EPIC

• ⏳ Credentialing:

  • With active IN license: ~60 days

  • Without IN license: ~90 days

🩺 Clinical Responsibilities

• 🔬 Bone Marrow Biopsies

• 💉 VAD/Central Venous Catheter Management

• 🧠 Participation in Tumor Board

• 🧬 Bone Marrow Transplant Management

• 🧪 Orders lab tests & blood bank services

• 📷 Orders imaging

• 📝 Prescribes and manages treatment plans

• 💊 Chemotherapy administration (Physician or Nurse Oncologist)

✔️ Requirements

• 🎓 Board Certification (ABMS/AOA) – certified in one specialty, competency in the other

• 🪪 Active Indiana Medical License – Required

• ❤️ BLS Certification – Required
