This role offers the opportunity to support both inpatient and limited outpatient oncology patients while working alongside experienced advanced practice providers.
💼 Position: Locum Tenens Medical Oncologist / Hematologist
📅 Coverage Dates: On going
📍 Location: Richmond, Virginia
🏥 Setting: Primarily Inpatient, with some outpatient assistance

🩺 Role Responsibilities
- Inpatient oncology and hematology rounding (census approx. 12–15 patients/day)
- Limited outpatient coverage for patient continuity during physician vacation
- Oversight of an experienced Nurse Practitioner
- Participation and support in clinical research enrollment
- Call responsibilities during the coverage period

- Team includes 2 physicians and NP support
- EMR: EPIC
- Adult Oncology & Hematology inpatient services
- Non-teaching environment
🎯 Ideal Candidate
✔ Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
✔ Active Virginia state medical license
✔ Local provider
✔ BLS certified
✔ Clean background — NPDB required for submissions
✔ Comfortable with NP oversight, call coverage, and research involvement
