Job Opportunity: Locum Medical Oncologist in Richmond, VA
Join the Bon Secours Cancer Institute at St. Mary’s Hospital, a leading healthcare facility in Richmond, VA. This position offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment primarily focused on inpatient care, while also engaging in outpatient settings. The institute is dedicated to providing exceptional care to a diverse adult patient population and is now looking for a locum Medical Oncologist.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight of Nurse Practitioners.
- Enroll patients in clinical research studies.
- Manage call coverage responsibilities.
- Deliver care in both inpatient and outpatient settings as required.
- Document patient interactions and care in the EPIC system.
- Work collaboratively with a team of two other physicians.
- Consult and manage a diverse patient load averaging 12-15 patients per day in a hospital setting.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology (Required).
- Active Virginia Medical License (Required).
- BLS Certification (Required).
- Clear background check required for temporary positions; must submit NPDB during name clear process (Required).
- Must be local to the area; mileage reimbursement only (Required).
- Current NPDB required for presentation (Trio) (Required).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology - Required
- Active Virginia Medical License - Required
- BLS Certification - Required
- Clean background check with NPDB submission - Required
