- Other Details: The assignment involves working in an ambulatory hematology/oncology clinic focusing primarily on benign hematology, following up with and seeing new patients, writing orders and prescriptions, and communicating with the pharmacy. The provider will work alongside nurses, navigators, administrative staff, pharmacists, one to two physicians, APPs, and infusion specialists. The average patient load is a minimum of 15 hematology patients per day in an inpatient setting. The role requires board certification in hematology or oncology (both preferred), an active state medical license, DEA, BLS certification, and at least two to three years of experience. The EMR used is EPIC, and an assessment must be completed before the start date. The schedule runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday or Wednesday through Friday, with occasional weekend and infrequent call coverage. Credentialing typically takes 60 to 90 days.

Job Responsibilities
* Conduct patient follow-ups and new patient consultations.
* Write medical orders and prescriptions as needed.

* Collaborate with nurses, navigators, administrative staff, physicians, APPs, pharmacists, and infusion specialists.
* Manage a daily patient load of at least 15 hematology patients.
* Participate in infrequent call and occasional weekend call coverage.
Qualifications
* Active state medical license.
* Valid DEA registration.
* Current BLS certification.
* Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in hematology or oncology.
* Proficiency with EPIC EMR and completion of assessment prior to start date.
