🏥 Hematology/Oncology Physician Opportunity – UM St. Joseph Medical Center (Towson, MD)
Start Date: December 5, 2025
Priority: High | Status: Full-Time | Board Certified Required

Position Overview:

UM St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician to join their team starting December 5, 2025. This is a full-time, high-priority opening due to turnover. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience, be EPIC Beacon proficient, and hold a Maryland license or IMLC.

Clinical Details:

  • Clinic Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Call Coverage:
    • One weekday per week: inpatient consults + night call
    • Weekend call: Every 4th weekend (Friday 8 AM – Monday 8 AM)
  • Patient Volume: 12–15 patients/day (new and follow-ups)
  • Admissions While On Call: ~5
  • Support Staff: APP team available during normal hours
  • EMR: EPIC Beacon
  • Privileges: Full privileges available
  • Solo Work: Yes

Requirements:

  • Board Certification: Hematology and Oncology
  • Licensure: Maryland or IMLC (license not required to apply)
  • DEA & CSR License: Required
  • Certifications: BLS
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years
  • EPIC Experience: Must be noted on presentation

Additional Information:

  • Beds: 221
  • Paging System: Available
  • Parking: On-site
  • Travel & Lodging: Mileage, airfare, ground transportation, and negotiated hotel accommodations available
  • Credentialing Time: ~60 days
  • Geographic Preference: Local candidates preferred, but travel support available
